Fluorescent dyes and penetrants make leaks and surface flaws visible under ultraviolet light. Leak detection dyes are added to a fluid system and show as a bright glow at the leak point under a UV lamp, while penetrants and developers are used in liquid penetrant testing to reveal surface-breaking cracks. The dyes listed here are supplied in 1 gallon (4 L) containers, including one for gasoline and diesel.
