Porosity & Holiday Detectors

Holiday and porosity detectors find pinholes, thin spots and other discontinuities in protective coatings on metal or concrete. A brush, roller or electrode is passed over the coating and a spark or alarm signals a flaw. They are used on pipelines, tanks, linings and coated steel before service.

Choose low-voltage wet-sponge detectors for thin films and high-voltage units for thicker coatings. Compare the voltage range, electrode types, pipe or flat-surface accessories and the standards in your specification, such as ASTM D5162 or AMPP SP0188.
